ALEXANDER CHOY

Alexander Choy was called to the Queensland Bar in 2018.  He accepts briefs in all areas of commercial and administrative law.  He also accepts briefs in state and federal taxation matters.  He appears in all State and Federal Courts and Tribunals.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford, Magdalen College, together with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Business from Griffith University.  He received the University Medals for Law and International Business as the top graduate in both degrees.  He is currently completing a Masters of Taxation at the University of Sydney. 

Before joining the Bar, Alex worked as a solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons in commercial litigation, regulatory finance and building and construction matters.  Alex served as associate to the Honourable Justice Rangiah of the Federal Court of Australia in 2015.
